Musical Menu: Feel free to pick from each dish.

As a club DJ you play what you like and if people don’t like it they go elsewhere. One of the hardest things about playing private events is appealing to the widest possible range of people. Over the years I’ve found through trial and error what works and what doesn’t. I’ve used this kind of vintage music set at weddings, festivals, pubs, Rick Stein’s restaurant new years eve parties, The Eden project, and even cricket matches. No one has complained yet. Swing, ska, R&B, hillbilly and calypso…what’s not to like? Perfect accompaniment to a sunny day with a drink in your hand. (Tracks are deliberately cut short here to showcase as much music as possible.)

This set is more along the lines of what I used to do for Jelly Jazz. People used to ask us to describe our music policy and it was always really difficult to pin down. Some would call it ‘soulfulness’. Whether reggae, soul, funk, latin or straight up jazz…some tracks just make you feel good. These are tunes for good times and happy feet. (Again tracks are cut short deliberately as this is simply a showcase. You want to hear the whole tracks…book me!)

The following is a mix of more modern electro-swing, electro-blues and tropical beats that I’m playing in clubs at the moment.
